Duo AD Gel is an antibiotic and retinoid combination medicine designed for external use to fight acne (pimples). It is intended for patients 12 years of age and older and works by targeting the underlying causes of acne, such as clogged pores and bacterial growth. The gel helps to reduce inflammation, redness, and the formation of new lesions, leading to clearer skin over time. 

Ingredients of Duo AD Gel:

The gel contains a combination of two active ingredients: 

Ø  Adapalene (0.1% W/W): A third-generation retinoid (a form of Vitamin A) that helps normalize the differentiation of follicular epithelial cells, prevents the accumulation of dead skin cells and oil in pores, and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Ø  Benzoyl Peroxide (2.5% W/W): An oxidizing agent with strong antibacterial and keratolytic (skin-peeling) effects. It penetrates the skin to kill acne-causing bacteria and helps in the natural exfoliation of the outer skin layers.
