How to Use JA-Tar Shampoo

Ø  Preparation: Wet hair and scalp thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Ø  Application: Apply a generous amount of shampoo to the scalp and massage gently into a lather.

Ø  Wait Time: Allow the lather to remain on the scalp for several minutes (often recommended: 5–10 minutes).

Ø  Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Ø  Repeat: Repeat the process if necessary.

Ø  Frequency: Typically used 2-3 times a week, or as directed by a doctor.

Side Effects and Risks of JA-Tar Shampoo

While generally safe when used correctly, coal tar shampoo can cause side effects: 

Ø  Scalp Irritation: Burning, stinging, redness, or itching.

Ø  Photosensitivity: The scalp becomes more sensitive to sunlight; therefore, protect the treated area from direct sun for 72 hours after use.
