Head lice are small insects that infest the hair and scalp, causing irritation and itching. Mas Scab Lotion works by paralyzing and killing these parasites and their eggs to clear the infestation. 

Ingredients of Mas Scab Lotion

The primary active ingredient in many "scab" lotions, including those from the Mas Scab line, is permethrin. Permethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid that belongs to a class of medicines known as anti-parasitic agents.

Uses of Mas Scab Lotion

Ø  Preparation: Ensure the skin is clean, dry, and cool before application.

Ø  Application: Apply the lotion thoroughly to all affected areas, typically from the head (or neck, depending on age and condition) to the soles of the feet, paying close attention to skin folds, creases, and the areas between fingers and toes. For head lice, it is applied to the hair and scalp.

Ø  Leave-on time: The medication is usually left on the skin for 8–14 hours before being washed off completely.

Ø  Repeat treatment: A single application is often sufficient, but a second treatment may be needed after 7 to 10 days to kill any newly hatched eggs.

Ø  Wash bedding and clothing: To prevent re-infestation, all clothing, towels, and bedding used by the infected person should be machine-washed in hot water.
